When designing a new home we will discuss environmental issues with our Clients and suggest various sustainable features. Introducing environmentally friendly features into a property may also not need to have a financial consequence. Apex Architecture considers more than just including green technologies into buildings. Careful consideration of orientation, size of openings and possible solar gain can have significant benefits at no extra cost to the project.
Typical products and technologies that can be adopted include: ground/air source heat recovery pumps, thermal heat stores, solar heating, solar power (photovoltaics), under floor heating, use of efficient insulation and environmentally friendly materials, grey water harvesting systems (utilisation of rainwater), wind catchers (natural ventilation), sun pipes and ‘green’ roofs’.
